The Mongoose Needs Your Help
Awhile ago I went on an unforgettable Fishtown pub crawl with J.R. (aka the Mongoose), owner of J.R.’s Saloon. Like every year, he and his bar are looking to raise some money for their Christmas kids, an annual drive to get children toys they couldn’t afford otherwise. From the Goose:

Hope you all had the weekend I had it was the best.Go Eagles.Seriously we need help with the fund raising for our Christmas kids,I would not ask if this was not really important.Donna Walker will be running the speed pool on Wednesday nites starting this week(October 1st)and this is a great way to contribute and still have a good time.We will take any monetary contributions,just mail them to the address at the bottom of this email,remember you are the only shot these kids have at having a real holiday and feeling like everyone else one day a year.Last year we took care of 17 family’s::::toys,coats,hats gloves,and a complete dinner and Christmas tree.We could not do this with out your 100%cooperation .I no times are tough but try to remember what Christmas meant to you when you still believed in Santa.I don’t mean to go on and on but this is the one thing that really gets to me.ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED NO MATTER HOW SMALL.LOL t.w.f.m.”Real charity,knows neither race nor creed,children are the lifeblood of the universe”J.R,s SALOON 2663 EAST NORRIS ST.PHILA.PA.19125
