Happy Halloween + Phillies Parade = Me No Bloggy All Day

BOO!!!!!

I’m so outta here! Remember, today is all Philly day on 88.5 XPN. Also, in lieu of his annual Halloween bash this year, Springsteen released a new song on his website, “Jersey Devil.” Check it out here.

Stay safe!

Finally, A Song Written For Obama That Doesn’t Suck

The Choice is Yours (Tasters Choice remix) from Super!Alright! on Vimeo.

Of course, it’s just an updated version of a song that already ruled, Black Sheep’s “The Choice is Yours,” with lyrics about Obama, McCain and making the correct choice. From concept to recording to completed video in two days. Very nice.

I Bet The Wu Tang Clan Really Love The Phillies As World Series Champs

I bet the numerology-loving nine emcees of the Wu Tang Clan are really love, love, loving the Phillies World Series victory last night. Most people know this year’s championship had the whole ‘80 ‘08 thing going for it, but were you aware that Tug McGraw, the pitcher to get the last out for the Series’ winning ’80’s team, wore number 45 and that Brad “Light’s Out” Lidge, this year’s maestro of all things “Shut ‘em down,” wears number 54? 45 54, get it? AHHHHHHH!

Other Wu Tang numerology voodoo working its way into the Series is, whoa, the number 80 (and 08) are both “good for business,” and the Phils sure did that last night. Also, it’s worth noting what the number 222 is described to mean on the Wu site: “Have faith. Everything’s going to be all right. Don’t worry about anything, as this situation is resolving itself beautifully for everyone involved.” The Phils happened to strand 222 base runners in their five games against the Rays, but seeeeeeeeee, it turned out fine.

Wu Tang Clan play the Trocadero on Dec. 19 Tickets are $46.

Yeah, Um, Technical Difficulties

You’re not the only one taking the day off after the Phillies win last night. Our server’s decided to take it off too! Posting will begin again once we figure out the mega-wonk that’s making the page display like it is. Thanks.
