Let Us Pray This Gillie Da Kid Vs. Dirty Rik Rap Beef Is Fake
Wednesday we brought you the story of beef so fresh it was still mooing. Some background: A Philly rapper named Dirty Rik made a video of himself “freestyling” a diss about self-proclaimed King of Philly Gillie Da Kid. Rik used to be apart of Gillie’s label Major Figgas, and feels he wasn’t paid what he was owed for the three tracks he wrote and performed on a Major Figgas group collaboration. To add insult to injury, Rik wasn’t even photographed for the cover of the album, and was only pictured on its back. None of this was made apparent in Rik’s diss of Gillie, so he made a second video to clarify his grievances against Gillie and the Major Figgas crew. They include the previously mentioned money and photo disputes and the claim, by Gillie, that Rik “cat burglarized” his house and stole a necklace, only to return it a couple days later in fear of retribution.
You know what? It’s best just to watch it unfold.
Dirty Rik’s Gillie diss:
This is the video that sparked off the beef. Rik disses Gillie in a muddied way, and it’s not exactly clear why he’s going after his former label mate with such vitriol. In it he appropriates the use of Gillie’s last hit “Get Down on the Ground.” Also, WTF IS THE WIRE 2????
Beef explained:
Rik makes another video to explain the beef because the “internets” were demanding it.
Gillie responds:
Word of Rik’s videos has gotten back to Gillie, and he gives a response. And, oh man, it’s serious. He pulls up a database of some sort that exposes Rik’s sorted history, one that includes arrests for domestic violence, something called witness services (which they take to mean snitching) and several allusions to child molestation. A good half of the video is Gillie warning the parents of Southwest Philadelphia to keep their kids away from Rik.
Mother of girl molested:
This is where things get weeeeeeird. Gillie finds the mother of the four-year-old girl Rik is said to have molested, and gives her a platform to speak. She has a kid by Rik, but another daughter by someone else. It’s her other daughter that Rik is alleged to have molested. She is four-years-old. The mother goes into graphic detail here. Not for the weak of stomach.
Dirty Rik responds:
Dirty Rik has a lot of bitches who are jealous of how many other bitches he has. Gillie found one of them, big deal. This one is so jealous, in fact, she’s willing to lie about him and his dealings with her four-year-old, and allege some foul shit. She’s just that in love, you see, and torn by the thought of her baby daddy getting with other chicks. This, in essence, is Rik’s defense against the accusations: the well-worn and time-tested “that bitch is crazy.”
Dirty Rik incriminating freestyle rap:
If all this weren’t sordid and sad enough, now other people not named Rik and Gillie are getting involved. This World Star Hip-hop user found a video of Rik freestyling, and takes issue with some of the lyrics. Specifically this one: “I grip a lil bad bitch and then I turn her out/ Suckin’ my wee wee/ No TV/ Till she hurt her mouth.” The user feels the line is all but an admission of guilt and lets Rik know, if he ever comes to New York, he’ll get “stomped out.”
He’s not the only one that feels this way, it appears, as a good half of the comments on all the videos above are threats of death or violence against Rik. Those threats, Gillie could tell you, are all too real. His beef with Beanie Sigel a couple years ago ended with him shot and a member of Beanie’s crew dead. This probably won’t end well.

Wow,just finished the cover story. This is really excellent reporting. I hope things don’t go bad over it. I’d like to see Tone Trump broker some kind of peace.
