Zooey Deschanel’s Boyfriend And His Band Start In Philly

Just like Andrew Bird, Antony & the Johnsons, Tindersticks and Vetiver already have this year, and Peaches, Los Campesinos!, Fischerspooner, and, umm, Motley Crue will in the coming months, indie-pop heroes Death Cab for Cutie launches its upcoming U.S. tour here in the Philadelphia area, playing the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby on Tuesday, April 7th, with Ra Ra Riot and Cold War Kids opening. That night will also mark the first time you can get your hands on a physical copy of Death Cab’s new EP The Open Door, which includes four previously unreleased songs the band worked up during the sessions for last year’s Narrow Stairs, and a demo version of “Talking Bird,” which appeared in its finished version on the LP.
