The Jesus Lizard. Starlight Ballroom. November 18th. Holy Shit!!
It’s official — freshly reunited the Jesus Lizard is playing the Starlight Ballroom on Wednesday, November 18th. As someone who saw them a few times way back in the day (circa ‘92/’93), I can tell you without hesitation that they are the best live band I’ve ever witnessed, and from all accounts (such as from their Pitchfork set over the weekend, and recent gigs in Europe) and recent YouTube footage (see above, from a show last week in Nashville), they’re still as intense and gut-punching as ever, making this one true miss-it-and-you’ll-regret-it-forever event. Tickets are $18 and on sale now.
