Today In Philadelphia Music History: Nancy Spungen Is Murdered
It was on this day back in 1978 when Lower Moreland-born punk groupie Nancy Spungen was found dead of a stab wound in the bathroom of her room at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City, allegedly at the hand of Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious. She was 20.
We visited Spungen’s grave in Bensalem earlier this year.
