Good News Bad News: Kurt Vile Edition
Some good news on the Kurt Vile front: KV and the Violators are opening for the legendary Big Star this Wednesday night at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple! The bad news is that the show is waaaay sold out, so unless you’ve already got a ticket, you’re probably out of luck (not that you necessarily want to drive all the way up to Brooklyn anyway).
But more good news: KV and company have a couple local-ish shows coming up this weekend. Friday night they’re at Swarthmore College, and Saturday night they’re at Messiah College in Grantham, PA (which is about 100 miles west, near Harrisburg — a much easier drive than it is to Brooklyn.) After that, it might be a while before you can catch Kurt again live, as he’s heading to Europe to tour for the rest of the year.

Looking forward to the show with Kurt and the Vs. Big Star’s individual schedules have kept the number of shows down to 3 this year so I’m pretty excited about it.
