Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp is coming to Philly this Fall, and it looks like it might be pretty amazing. Exhibit A: Dickey Motherfuckin’ Betts is going to be one of the camp counselors. So too is Kip Winger! They’ll join Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad), Mark Hudson (Aerosmith), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy) and Sandy Gennaro (Joan Jett) to help you live out your Rock Star dreams the weekend of October 22nd at the Troc.
Camp was previously only available in L.A. and New York, but they’ve been such a rip roaring success, they’ve taken the whole thing on the road, having just come off an overseas escapade in London. While at Camp attendees will take on every station of the Rock ‘n’ Roll cross, experiencing the grueling and joyful days like those of their favorite musicians. Each day a new thrilling challenge exists for the “rock campers” who will experience everything from from the audition process, to forming bands, writing and recording music and playing a live show, “battle of the bands” style. Maybe they’ll even get to play to an empty room like MOST MUSICIANS!
Admittedly, pricing on this thing is a monster. The weekend costs $1999, so chances are it’s going to be lots of business execs with cash to burn and a boner for Betts (and the Allman Brothers) at this thing, giving their best go at ripping a solo on that vintage Fender Strat they paid too much for. Hell, we’d almost pay the 2K just to see THAT. Call 888.762.BAND to register for Fantasy Weekend With Dickey. While you’re at it, ask about the destination camp in the Bahamas. Why? Camp Counselors Rita Ford and Roger Daltrey!
