Diplo’s “Express Yourself” Winners Announced
Diplo’s Express Yourself EP came out earlier this month and, with it, a contest. He asked for photos of fans expressing themselves across the globe. By that he didn’t mean, “Snap a photo of you at a poetry reading,” but “Hands down, ass up, like in my video for ‘Express Yourself,’” which we first wrote about the day it premiered.
Well the fans didn’t let Diplo down. They sent in a gaggle of photos, many of which he’s been tweeting along the way. Now the contest is closed, and Diplo has his winners. First prize gets a Diplo/Major Lazer guest list spot for life and a signed copy of Express Yourself. Five second place finishers win a Diplo/Major Lazer guest list spot for life. Finally, so many good photos were sent, Diplo crowned ten more contestants “runners up,” each of whom walked away with a two month Mad Decent Premium Subscription and a Mad Decent coffee mug. Our personal favorite is the one of the girl expressing herself in an old folks home, but the one of the girl expressing herself on the cop car is pretty great too.
