Bloc Party’s Got A New Record Brewing And They’ve Announced A Tour That Includes A Philly Stop

Remember how much we loved Silent Alarm, the totally kickass debut from 2005 by the London rock quartet? We listened to it A LOT. Let’s be real, the subsequent releases, A Weekend In The City (2007) and Intimacy (2008), weren’t quite what we wanted them to be. They didn’t have the same urgency and sort of sloppy, emotionality that their debut had. They were still good! Just not AS good. Well, they took a lil’ break, and that was probably a good thing, but they’re coming back FULL THROTTLE. They’ve got a new record prepped, called Four, and they’re supporting it with a big international and U.S. tour that was recently announced.

And huzzah! They’ll be at the Tower on September 15th with Ceremony. Check out an album and tour preview vid and keep your eyes peeled for when tickets become available:
