DAILY GRINDER: Feds vs. PHA, Vick To Get (Another) Award, PPD Video Villains

The feds want the entire PHA board out. This is cool news and we wonder how former Mayor Street is going to react, eventually. The dude’s definitely beaten the feds before. His sleeves also seem to be full of dirty tricks, like, all the time. [Philly.com]

But to be fair, the last time he took on the feds, he wasn’t caught awarding millions of dollars in contracts to his the law firm where his son worked. [Inky]

Chestnut Hill College fired a teacher after learning that he was gay, and for that reason. He’s considering legal action against the school. [AP/CBS]

Bring on the controversy. Michael Vick is going to be praised as a hero by the Southeastern Virginia Arts Association in March, based in Norfolk, VA. They cite Vick’s “making strides to become a better citizen.” [NBC]

According to a Police One article, the Philadelphia Police Department is going to be using Facebook, Twitter, etc. to catch criminals using their “crime-fighting campaign,” Video Villains. And only some of the video villains will be actual police officers. [Police One]

Oh, and since we’ve been looking at these ridiculous “lists” lately, we found someone on Yahoo! Answers who decided to just get at the heart of the matter. The open question “Ghetto White Bytch” posted was “Why is Philadelphia the most horrible city in the world?” She clarified her question, too, saying, “Everywhere I go there is trash in the streets and rude mean punk people. Philadelphians start trouble with people and when those people fight back the Philadelphians go and hide in their dirty houses because they are so scared.” Hurry up, there are only two days left to answer.
