DAILY GRINDER: More Liquor Laws Proposed
The Pennsylvania GOP submitted a bill that would create separate license categories for large and small liquor stores (something they’ve contemplated in the past) and are looking to eliminate the current 18-percent liquor tax in favor of a per-gallon tax. It’s all part of a slow-bleed plan to make the whole thing private. At least that’s what it seems like. [Tribune Review]
DA Seth Williams’ marijuana policy of “not being that big a dick about it” seems to be paying off. The city saved $2 million last year by not prosecuting small time weed users. [Inky]
