DAILY GRINDER: Is Tomorrow Rick Santorum’s Last Stand? (We Hope Not)

santorum_richardShould Rick Santorum drop out after South Carolina, which is tomorrow? Absolutely not. Although he’s in last place amongst the four remaining candidates. And seems to have done his thing, to little avail. But still. Our final prediction: The aging, boring white guy will win. Haha. No, seriously: the dangerously hypocritical one will eke out the victory. Haha. OK, fine, we’re putting our money on the one with no sense of humor.

Everyone’s calling Rick Santorum’s 1976 yearbook photo “tragic” except the hipsters who want to look like and be him from then.

Philly’s ‘Young Thugs’ are at it again: 64-year-old Vietnam Veteran Edward Schaefer was attacked on the street in Olney by six teenagers on Tuesday night. Already blind in one eye, he may need reconstructive surgery, but gave the most badass interview to the Daily News that I’ve seen in a while. “I have very little animosity,” Schaefer said, adding that despite the cruelty that fueled the attack, he wants to see the teens pay for their actions without serving time in prison.” While they’re in jail, guess who’s paying for it? We are. Why should we?” Schaefer asked. “I have no animosity – now that I know what the hell happened.”

We’re so glad this is still going on: The sale of the Boy Scout Headquarters in Center City is on hold.

Bob Casey’s potential Republican opponents are slamming him on his co-sponsorship of the Protect Internet Privacy Act. Stuff about “policing the free market” and what have you.

New details in the killing of Kevin Kless in Old City case. He begged for his life. The reward for his details that lead to an arrest and conviction is now $20,000.
