DAILY GRINDER: On Rick Santorum and Tom Corbett

Yesterday was is a big day for Pennsylvania conservatives—I guess! The state’s governor gave another treacherous budget address, in which he stood his ground against raising taxes on millionaires while taking money away from the poor and educational institutions (that’ll teach ‘em for spending all that money on book learnin! Scumbagz!). Later on, Rick Santorum went all out in the Midwest, winning both Minnesota, Missouri and Colorado. Because for the love of! Here are some reactions:

On Corbett:

The state Democratic Party responded with their usual go to: Begging for cash money. “Democrats are going to need to do a lot to fight back so that the budget that passes this summer looks nothing like this budget that Governor Corbett proposed. Will you help us? Click here to give Democrats the support we need to fight back.” That’s leadership!

SEPTA doesn’t like it: “Funding constraints are, however, threatening SEPTA’s ability to serve its growing customer base. More than $600 million in critical upgrades – from bridge repairs to overhauls of aging electrical substations and renovations of outdated facilities such as City Hall Station – have been deferred indefinitely. As a result, SEPTA’s backlog of State of Good Repair work also continues to grow as projects are deferred.” No Smart cards, then?

Occupy Philly organizer and candidate for the House of Representatives Nathan Kleinman was quoted by PA Independent as calling the budget “a catastrophe for families across Pennsylvania.”

Philly Rep. Dwight Evans, via Twitter: #PABudget…..doesn’tWORK

On Santorum:

After he claimed his wins, he earned the god damn right to gloat. And he did, with this Tweet, and a brand new Twitter emblem: “I don’t claim to be the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney; I stand here to be the conservative alternative to Barack Obama”

Bill Maher Tweeted, “Wow, now its Santorum ’s turn! A clinging creep, but if he makes Mitt Romney’s life miserable, he’s doing the lord’s work”

Then Romney got all pissy about losing, so he got all, yeah, but I ran a business, fucks. Ever hear of businesses? Or, “Leadership is about trying to start a business, not trying to get a bill out of committee.” And he doesn’t want the support of anyone in Congress, either, fucks.

Then Newt Gingrich (remember?) sent out an email saying the Santorum win is good for Newt, because even though the former speaker wasn’t even on all the ballots last night, nothing really happened for anyone else, either. The caucuses were non-binding! Therefore, Santorum’s win is really just Romney’s loss, and “largely meaningless.”

All the while, Rosie Gray at BuzzFeed lays out how the media are really, really hoping for a new Santorum surge through pants-wetting headlines around the web.

Just realized something: Made it all that way here without one of those “Santorum is a combination of shit and sperm” jokes. That was on purpose because the liberals who despise him need new material—you know, things that have to actually do with him as a person, not a mixture. The guy is funny enough without your use of the word “frothy.” But, full disclosure, not as funny as Mitt Romney.

As I’ve been preaching for the last week and a half now…. and your blog might have the answer, where are the promised tax returns that little Ricky promised to make public? Gee, does it show that he’s a pawn of K Street or corporations?

Rick Santorum, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, all three are lifelong politicians, I do not trust any of them ,they all have that washington bug. that is why no one can trust them, they say they are against entitlements, but then they vote for them when it is convenient for them, all of the years Ron Paul is in office he has run for the presidency, he has not once resigned from his position in congress, he ran until he had no hope of winning, all the while getting a(FREE RIDE) from the (TAXPAYERS). in 2003 the king of earmarks (RICK SANTORUM) voted against (BODY ARMOUR) for our troops. then there is good old (SKUNK BREATH, NEWT GINGRICH), did he or did he not resign his position in disgrace over ethics violations, the only clear choice is (MITT ROMNEY), he is beyond reproach, he will not be corrupted by the atmosphere that is (WASHINGTON D.C. , in my opinion (MITT ROMNEY) is the only clear choise to beat the communist barack obama, after all in his business experience he knows how to turn things around.
