Rob Zombie, acclaimed director of House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects, and writer of that song “More Human Than Human,” is coming to Philadelphia for a new project: Broad Street Bullies, a film about the Flyers. According to Deadline New York, the Flyers are right up Zombie’s ally, as they “evolved from a cellar-dwelling expansion team into a team that racked up victories and penalty minutes in equal measure during the 1970s.” And then there was, of course, the time Rick Foley cut off Bobby Clarke’s face and wore it as a mask.

Today’s the 12th day of deliberations in the Philadelphia priest sex abuse case. CBS says this is the longest deliberation in recent Philadelphia criminal history.

Pat Toomey has written a blog post for Red State titled ‘America vs. the Sugar Lobby.’ He calls the Big Sugar “one of the most egregious corporate welfare handouts in a long list of wasteful programs” and thinks the fight against the lobby (note: Not sugar in general, that fascist mayoral talk) is something we can all agree on.
