Map shows best living spots for food delivery in Philadelphia

A so-called Philadelphia Food Delivery Heatmap popped up in my inbox this morning. And despite my better instincts, I’m putting it on this blog because a) food is awesome, and, b) like many people I’ve met over the  years, I’m not sure where I’d be at this stage in life without take-out/delivery options.

The map, sent out by an apartment ratings site called Rentenna, (the company was recently shouted out on a Department of Housing and Urban Development report pertaining to Philly for its apartment search tool), notes spots in the city with the most-to-least food delivery options. Retenna has ranked tens of thousands of restaurants, and when you see the fork-and-knife emblem, that means the place is good, according to them. Click here for a larger map:

The company also has a ranking system showing best neighborhoods for delivery food, by name. Here they are:

1. Bella Vista
2. Graduate Hospital
3. “Midtown Village”
4. Society Hill
5. Rittenhouse Square
6. Market East/Financial District
7. Queen Village
8. Chinatown
9. Fitler Square
10. Powelton Village
