Rick Santorum: Obama hates America

No, seriously:

Watching President Obama apologize last week for America’s arrogance – before a French audience that owes its freedom to the sacrifices of Americans – helped convince me that he has a deep-seated antipathy toward American values and traditions.

Clearly, this is the commentary of a man who hates America.

You see, unless you tout that America is infallible and perfect — unless you rebuke all suggestions that maybe, maybe, sometimes America has made a misstep — you have a “deep-seated antipathy toward American values and traditions.”

I try not to get into name-calling on this blog. But Rick Santorum is a tool.

* Note to Ben Boychuk: Yes, I realize that the majority of the column was devoted to Harold Koh’s understanding of international law. It’s a worthy debate. But Rick Santorum is still a tool.

Wow. Obama is so good on his feet — exceptional, one might say. Imagine George W. Bush answering that question, a thoughtful reply to which requires a true grasp of history and a true love of country and a noncynical view of diplomacy and leadership.
