Mix Tape Memories

I’m admittedly a few days late on this one, but a friend just sent over this New York Times article . The gist is that people are actually making a living in New York as personal music stylists. Meaning: They create a soundtrack for your home. (And emo boys rejoice because there is finally a career in making shitty mix tapes.)

According to one source in the article: “You’re not going to have Johnny Cash playing in a fantastic retreat in the West Indies. It just wouldn’t work.”

Personally, Johnny Cash is one of my faves. He’d definitely be on my home soundtrack along with Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston (don’t hate) and that remix of “A Little Less Conversation” that probably drives real Elvis fans crazy. What would be on your home soundtrack?
