Happy Tuesday! Stylish Links to Sass Up Your Morning

Remember that crazy patterned dress you were just dying to winterize with the perfect pair of tights, but you could never seem to find the appropriate color? You can thank me later…

Check out the beauty trends that set the stage for the Spring 2009 runway shows. I am particularly fond of that red lips are included, but what’s with Ralph Lauren still being boring yet still being featured? How do we go from slides of futuristic-looking sculpted updos to yet another semi-tan blonde model with “the natural look”?

This month, Nylon chose Bonnie Parker, the female half of the most notorious yet romanticized crime sprees in American history, as a style icon. I almost forgave them for putting Paris Hilton on the cover of the November issue, until I read onto read that the upcoming remake of Bonnie and Clyde is rumored to cast Hillary Duff as Bonnie. And I read on, searching for a line, just a word even, of horror at the thought. But nothing, just onto the clothes..

If you follow trends, you know they reappear just about every decade or so. You may notice a ’90s revival in the fashion world as well as on the street. My co-worker caught onto this early and noted the dare I say “ironic” resurgence of a particular ’90s fad in her fashion blog. But no matter what the magazines say, no matter what you think just might be worth another try, let the scrunchie go.

Ever have a date scheduled at the end of a hectic work week complete with the best friend’s birthday and a younger sibling’s seasonal choral pageant? Look cool from head to toe without one foot in the mall or any effort aside from one click of a mouse.
