America’s Next Top Stampede

“I had to pee in a cup and change my clothes in the street,” Mona Knight, 18 told the Daily News. “There was no organization whatsoever.” Apparently chaos broke out during the America’s Next Top Model auditions held in New York this past weekend.

Someone allegedly screamed that there was a bomb, which is what sent many of those waiting in line running away from the casting call. This video from AmericQueer captures the moment.

While I do understand that someone yelling that there is a bomb will make anyone jump, especially in New York, it seems like the Chaos existed before that. Tyra is already on like season 64, it just doesn’t make sense that this event wasn’t better organized. I’m not embarrassed to admit that I auditioned for American Idol, and seems that the Idol audition was much better organized than this mess.

No such incidents occurred during the America’s Next Top Model auditions held in Philly earlier this month.

G By Guess is having a pretty sweet promotion. At their Montgomery Mall location, they’re handing out chocolates with 10% off coupons inside. Yum.

G By Guess was launched in 2007, and was created to compete with Hollister. In case you are looking for something from Guess? but don’t want to break the bank, this is your place. G By Guess has lower price points than Guess? traditionally has.

I spotted a Quaker Oats ad on the side of a SEPTA bus recently. It was just the Quaker’s face and the words “Go Humans Go.” Apparently the campaign is working to combat childhood hunger, amongst other things. I especially like the ad that was featured in the New York Times, which had an article explaining that in these tough economic times, positive ads are springing up.
