This week in Craigslist art

I was talking with a friend at work last night about how she was selling an old pastoral-type oil painting on craigslist and had gotten a million responses from all over the place and was afraid it was a secret masterpiece or something (note: it’s already taken, some dude is actually driving down from Brooklyn).

But I wanted to see what this painting looked like, so I searched craigslist for ‘painting.’ The results were so weird that I then searched for ’sculpture’ and finally just ‘art.’

Let me tell you: if you’re ever bored with all your normal internet things to do, I highly recommend searching craigslist for ‘art.’ Also, ‘taxidermy.’

This kinetic sculpture is very pretty and very well-designed, no doubt! But I think that whole era of $10,000 doo-dads may have ended a while ago.

They are roughly 40- 50 years old collected from all over, mostly art museum NY, all are in perfect condition…
