Big Phoot
We’re fans of sweet limited-edition tees here at PWstyle so we’d like to congratulate local artist Todd Marrone for getting some national e-turf. Upon closer inspection, you may recognize his signature cartoon caricatures from around town and a PW Pop Rocks article on his clothing line Ghosticorn.
“Big Phoot” ( a nod to the Patterson-Gimlin hoax for us X-files types) is an awesome tee that’s almost entirely chromatic. The emerald gem features our city’s most popular green pal (though Green Man Charlie … and the Eagles –I guess– call a close second). We’re glad that Todd’s humor was also a hit in the “National Park” derby roundup on Woot.com
He tipped us on our Twitter account that his hilarious Philly Phanatic tee (above) was featured and we just wanted to had out a virtual high-five. Hooray!
Wow, it is always amusing to me how people who have no part of the planning, always seem to have such strong opinions as to what could have, should have would have been different at an event had they had their very important little hands. Perhaps the business, creativity and overall opportunity this event has brought to the city should be focused on instead. Philadelphia Weekly, it’s too bad you don’t have an “I love you I hate you” section…maybe you’d be worth reading.
