Etsy-delphian of the Day: Ooh La Jena

I have a serious problem with losing things.  In the middle of the day, with no BAC for an excuse, I’ve left bags strung across chairs and waltzed out of cafes without realizing I’ve briefly abandoned all my most important possessions.  And when I opt to go purse-less, I drop things unwittingly; I once lost a cell phone to the watery depths of the toilet bowl, and my wallet, likewise, is hell-bent on freeing itself from the confines of my pockets.

Back in the eighties, there was a viable solution to the pockets-or-purse conundrum: the fanny pack, which has since become the choice carryall of tourists and senior citizens. It seems that today’s stylish options are largely limited to hand-held clutches and shoulder-slung satchels . . . With this exception.

Ooh La Jena’s Hip Pouch is fashion’s answer to the absent-minded’s prayers.  Though it functions much like it’s now-dated distant cousin, it’s subtle and effortlessly chic – a cute distressed leather belt that just happens to house enough pocket space to fit all the essentials. Available in Fire Engine Red, Avocado and Tangerine in addition to the pictured brown, it’s can be ordered to suit a variety of palettes and customized to fit any waistline.  Take that, fanny pack!

Added bonus: a percentage of proceeds go to help KASHI, a school for underprivileged kids in India, so by treating yourself to an awesome new bag, you can help make a difference too.
