What To Do This Weekend

Good morning everyone!

Tonight, Art in the Age is hosting the opening reception for Jessica Hische’s Illustrative Initials from 5-7pm. The exhibit also includes letters from her popular project, Daily Drop Cap. Check out a video here explaining why Jessica loves lettering, and then go out and immediately rent Helvetica.

On Saturday, take a trip to ING Direct Cafe anytime between 6-9pm as they partner with Rock and Soul Apparel to offer super discounts. Clothing will be 30-40% off and, if you end up opening an account with ING, take an additional 20%–which is, by my calculations, is an average of 36-44% off. Go at it!

On Sunday, head over to Art Star as Plaid Pony Vintage sets up her own stand in-store. All vintage will be $15-$20, which is pretty darn good considering the plethora of stuff on her website that’s definitely over that cap.

Shout out to fellow PW-blogger Erica for this Sanrio Sale. Stop into their King of Prussia outpost on Sunday and help them celebrate “Friendship Day” by taking 10% off. It doesn’t sound like much, but when it means you can cut your sandwich into a Hello Kitty head, I think you’ve found a deal no matter what the cost.

All day on Sunday will be the 2nd Street Festival, up in Nolibs. Between Girard and Spring Garden, pop into your favorite shops and restaurants for different activities, like Exit Skateshop hosting games and Standard Tap becoming a “beer garden” for the night.
