Good morning, good morning! Is everyone ready for the final days of The Philadelphia Collection? Only a few more days until you can NEVER SHOP AGAIN. Just kidding. But you should still go out.
Tonight, from 6-9pm, Smak Parlour will be having a “Night of Trunk Shows”, with their new holiday collection. Spotlights will be on handcrafted jewelry from Sultana (which is made with antiques), new dresses from Ark & Co. and a bevy of new goods from the Smak Parlour store brand. Also sip on some Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale to ring in the new fall season.
Trunk shows seem to be the cats patoot tomorrow night, so also stop by Carmelita Couture from 6-9pm, where her new fall collection, “Modern Warrior” will be on view, and enjoy some cupcakes and champagne.
Don’t forget about first friday, of course. Space 1026 will be hosting an opening reception for their newest exhibit by photographers Sandy Kim and Logan White. Stop by from 7-10pm to view the photos, taken on 35mm, and speak with the photographers.
On Saturday, Banana Republic is teaming up with modeling agency, FBH, to host an in-store fashion show. Models will showcase the line’s newest looks, as well as those from smaller labels Jaames Nelson, Ke Collection by Kevin Love and Lara. RSVPs are required, so shoot an email over to info [at] fbhtheagency [dot] com. The fashion show starts promptly at 7:30, but stick around for food, drinks and music by DJ Hollywood.
Saturday is also Midtown Village’s Fall Festival. From 12-8pm, prowl the district in search of free food, drinks, music and, obviously, a dunk tank and sumo wrestling. What would fall be without them?
Have a good weekend everyone!
