A Great Fashion Fundraiser

For the last 16 years, The Career Wardrobe has been providing free professional attire and programs to women in transition in Philadelphia. On Thursday night, from 5:30-9 p.m, they’ll be holding their tenth annual fashion show and fundraiser, A Perfect Fit: Fashioning Futures for Women.

The fashion show will feature a slew of local media personalities including, Monique Braxton, Sue Serio, Erika Von Tiehl and Lisa Nutter. The evening’s events will also include the presentation of the first annual “Fashioning Futures for Women Award” and the “Purse with Purpose” live auction featuring one-of-a-kind handbags designed by Viv Pickle Custom Handbag Studio and autographed by celebrities.

The event will be held at the Hyatt at the Bellevue and tickets start at $80 dollars. If you can’t attend, you should at least consider going through your closets and making a donation of any work-appropriate clothing or accessories you no longer wear at one of their several drop-off locations. Or you can go do some shopping at the Wardrobe Boutique (all their proceeds go to The Career Wardrobe).
