With a little over a week before the spectacular July 4th grand finale, tonight, Wawa Welcome America 2012 is inviting locals to a lively evening of entertainment, art, history and fashion, smack dab in the middle of Rittenhouse Square Park (18th & Walnut Sts.)

It all starts at 8 p.m. with “Life, Liberty & The Pursuit of Fashion,” a high-end, avante-garde outdoor fashion show presented by 90degreez online magazine and hosted by lifestyle expert, radio personality and author of the how-to guide, “Life with Style,” Cameron Washington.

Highlighting fashions from past time periods to the future, the show will feature the work of eight designers. This includes StellaBonds (vintage men’s sportswear and couture women’s dresses and shoes), Karla Guevara (retro fashions from the 40s-60s), Serena Saunders/PassionArt Designs (vintage inspired wearable art), Three Sirens Boutique (modern women’s apparel) and Cultured Couture Vintage boutique (contemporary men and women’s fashions with a vintage twist).

Completing the looks, models will be adorning accessories from Bisoux Jewelry, Hats in the Belfry and Inkas Hands.

Following the runway show, at 9 p.m., everyone is welcome to stick around as Welcome America kicks off its Philly @ the Movies series with a free screening of the family-friendly cinematic classic, “The Great Gatsby.”

Hey Nicole!

Great article, however, the imdb link for “The Great Gatsby” transfers readers to the 2012 version of the film that will not be released until December 2012. You may want to add an update to let everyone know that tonight’s showing is actually of the original film featuring Robert Redford. Thanks!
