There’s so many things going on today and tomorrow that I’m just going to keep this short and simple…

SATURDAY

8-Bit Lounge: DJ Cutman’s popular classic gaming event will be coming to Philly for the first time featuring unique vendors, live music and plenty of classic games. (5-9pm. $5-$8. PhilaMOCA, 531 N. 12 St.)

Deck The Alley: As part of this local holiday tradition, residents along the nation’s oldest continually live-on street will be opening their doors to strangers, allowing them get a peek inside. Admission also includes free seasonal refreshments, carolers in colonial garb and some fireside holiday storytelling. (4-7pm. $10-$20. Elfreth’s Alley Museum, 126 Elfreth’s Alley)

Philly Phever: Philly’s new (and only) puppet-slam, Puppet Manualfesto will be presenting a special showcase of adult-friendly puppetry vignettes. And with tacos! (8pm. $15-$20. The Walking Fish Theatre, 2509 Frankford Ave.)

Rittenhouse Row Holiday Celebrating: For the next three Saturdays, shops and businesses throughout Rittenhouse will be offering various deals and special events. Today this includes a performance by the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus on Walnut St., a Lionette jewelry trunk show at Knit Wit and free photos with Santa at TD Bank. (11am-1pm. Free. Christkindlmarkt: Add a little culture to your Christmas shopping and check out this annual indoor market featuring authentic German food, baked goods and chocolates as well as various handmade goods and kids activities with Santa. Holiday Pop-Up Art Show: Stop by during the day and shop local the work of local artists or come at night when there will be live music and a film screening, in addition to the art.  (12-9pm. Free. The Bainbridge Club, 1523 Bainbridge St.)

Moon & Arrow Grand Reopening Party: Just in case you missed the previous blog post, allow me to reiterate. The awesome local vintage and jewelry boutique has officially returned to Fabric Row and will be celebrating with a night of shopping, drinks, food and music. Be sure to make a purchase so that you can score yourself a free custom screen-printed tote bag. (6-10pm. Free. Moon & Arrow, 754 S. Fourth St.)

Winter Wonderland 2012: Celebrate the annual lighting of the South Street Headhouse holiday tree with free horse and carriage rides, a photo with Santa and a free ornament making workshop with The Expressive Hand. There will also be a holiday music concert and dance performances by both the Society Hill and Philadelphia Dance Academies. (4-7pm. Free. TIGHT SIX: Special Late Night Edition: Six funny locals better known as “The Tight Six” will be hosting this stand-up open mic, accompanied by live a few Ramones covers from the UK group Carbona Not Glue. (10:30pm. Free. Fergie’s Pub, 1214 Sansom St.)

L.A Hair’s Annual Complimentary Holiday Pin up Event: Models will roam the salon showcasing local designer Nicole Rae Styer’s one-of-a-kind corsets and clutches. Meanwhile, guests will be treated to free cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and music. (7:30-9:30pm. Free. L.A Hair, 1309 Mifflin St.)

NoLibs Shopping Spree: Sunday should mean less shoppers cramping your style so don’t miss out on this beloved Philly shopping event. Hit as many of the neighborhood’s 13 participating indie boutiques as possible and you’ll receive an increasing percentage off your purchase at each one as well as free refreshments. (11am-6pm. Free.
