What To Do This Weekend

Hey kids– it’s almost 5pm, so you can stop pretending to work in Excel and begin planning your weekend. Happy Friday from the girls at PWstyle.

//Jeffrey Campbell Trunk Show at J.Karma One of our fav Olde City boutiques, J.Karma is always up to something. We read on their new blog that they were paid a visit by Reese Witherspoon when she was filming in town. When they aren’t getting surprise drop-in’s from A-listers, J.Karma appears to be planning trunk shows.

“J. Karma is hosting a trunk show by one of the most sought after shoe designers Jeffery Campbell. A design representative will be on hand to show the new fall line, present an exclusive limited edition design by Jeffrey Campbell and give a sneak peek at the Spring 2010 line..”

Bubbly, wine & cheese will be served. Event is from 6-9pm.

//SoReFa Fashion Show @ North Bowl As we all know, Design Philadelphia is well under way and think it’s really cool that Arcadia Boutique is holding the 3rd annual SoReFa (Socially Responsible Fashion) Fashion Show on Sunday (10/11) at North Bowl.

This is a free event that exposes local designers and artists as well as eco-friendly fashion.  There will be raffles and food after at Arcadia Boutique! The party starts at 4pm at North Bowl (909 N 2nd St.) More info is available at SoReFa and ArcadiaBoutique.

Design Philadelphia 2008

Today kicks off Design Philadelphia, the nation’s largest celebration of design.  In conjunction with National Design Week, the next 7 days in Philadelphia promise to be very art and event heavy.  If you love to mingle while discussing the loftier subjects of design theory and innovation, this is your time to shine.

Check the full list of events HERE.

Thanks to the DesignPhiladelphia blog for breaking out the full list of today’s events.  You’ll see me at “Bamboo Dreaming” because I’ve always wondered if Bamboo sheets and towels are really worth the hype.
