NoLibs Second Street Festival

I hope you’ve already marked your calendars for August 5th and the Northern Liberties’ 4th Annual Second Street Festival! Every year since 2008, over 100 local businesses contribute their own monetary donations to support the 2nd Street Festival and bring awareness to their up-and-coming neighborhood. This year the festival will run from 12pm to 9pm – admission is FREE and the festival will run from the 500 block (Spring Garden) to 1100 (Germantown) block of 2nd Street.

The 2nd St. Festival will present performances by Man Man, The Great Unknown, Blayer Pointdujour & The Rockers Galore, The Spinning Leaves, Auctioneer and much more! The festival will offer gourmet food and beer gardens provided by the neighborhood’s most prominent restaurants, including Standard Tap, Bar Ferdinand, El Camino Real, Gunner’s Run, Cantina Dos Segundos, North Bowl, and more! Local artists and businesses will be having some great sales, so don’t forget to head past the Piazza to Exit Skateshop, Arcadia Boutique, Duke & Winston, and Art Star while you’re out!

In what could only be called a perfect marriage of street/skate culture brands, Radlands clothing company and EXIT skateshop unite in brotherhood  to throw a First Friday banger of the raddest variety. Come check out the latest fall offerings from Radlands while downing some free beer and trying your hand at winning exclusive survival pack giveaways. Hear the psych-mystic musical stylings of the band LURKER, a.k.a The Dark Mystics of Modern Times. If you simply can not wait, you can go ahead and get your gear ahead of time via the AUF Philadelphia website and pre-order your fall items as of Nov 1st.

Afterwards, drag your First Friday-ed body over to the Barbary for a good old-fashioned get down provided by BOUNCE w/ BO and EMYND.
