Free Stuff … Thursday?

I’ll be away from PW Style HQ tomorrow for a brief holiday in sunny Pittsburgh, Pa. Even though Emily G and Lauren will be here to fulfill your style reading requirements for the day, I thought it’d be shameful for you to miss a chance to win free goodies from MAC cosmetics. (Also: they just sent me more stuff so my drawers are overflowing with products!) So I’m bringing it to you a day early. Consider it my gift to you.

Pictured to the right, is a lustre lipstick in “Sweet Thing,” which is a mid-tone magenta color. The lipstick originally retails for $14, but you can get it for free.

Amy Buckman reports that on Tues., Jan. 20, 14 department stores—including Bloomingdales, Macy’s, Neiman-Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks 5th Avenue—will be giving away $175-million worth of cosmetics as legal settlement from a 2003 class-action lawsuit.
