Happy Hump Day!  This morning Marie Claire’s got links to the 25 beauty products that will change your life. While we haven’t tried them all, we can’t argue with the benefits of the Chanel Nude Blush or Mac’s Bronzer just to bring a glow to your face during the drab winter months, the Jergens Natural Glow Express Body Moisturizer which helps us look like we had a nice weekend getaway to Cancun even if we sadly haven’t taken out our passports, as well as Olay’s Body Wash with exfoliating ribbons. With such a moisturizing body wash, you can even skip a post-shower moisturizer. Nice. Marie Claire also posted tips on how to care for your skin depending on your climate.

Lilliana Vazquez, who contributes to NBC10 posted some  cute and affordable sweaters on her blog – The Cheap Chica’s Guide To Style. Glamour magazine is also looking out for your wallet, with their list of shoes for $50 and under.

Philadelphia Magazine is on the lookout in Rittenhouse Square, spotting some styles that they love as well as a type of yoga we hadn’t seen yet. It’s called Slackline Yoga, and it’s done on a tightrope. Philadelphia Magazine spotted Jennifer Nehila practicing Slackline and did a writeup and shot video. Just as Jennifer mentions, YogaSlackers.com gives more information on the practice as a whole.

Lastly, we’re not sure how the #4 resturant on this ESPN list earned it spot, but we’re cracking up.

Phight Another Day

PhillyBurbs‘ tweets last night were pretty entertaining. Here’s a sample of some of what they had to say:

phillyburbs

We like the one about A.J. Burnett having to pay his way back to the Bronx. Poor guy.

Here are some more Halloween recaps: the website focusing on the NYC social scene, Guest of a Guest listed some of their faves, as did tech blog Engadget. The blog as a post about two guys who dressed up like iPhones using massive LCD TV’s. The costumes are expensive and bulky but still pretty cool.

Philly.com’s Snapglow.tv points the way to coverage of a fashion show held at the Philadelphia Art Museum.  The show was sponsored by Sak’s Fifth Avenue and featured designs honoring Tom Marotta, the late VP of Couture for the department store.

NBC10’s Lilliana Vazquez dishes out another serving of style recommendations, including over the knee bootsNBC also has pictures of stars who came out for Heidi Klum’s infamous costume party, as well as information on how sales of sheer pantyhose are down.

Chill Factor

erezOne of our favorite blogs catering to girls over a size 2 – Young, Fat and Fabulous has some cute coats for the chill that seems to be set on returning.

NBC10 has pictures up from fashion week all around the world, including a shows in New Dehli and Australia. Lilliana Vazquez has also compiled another list full of snuggly things we’re fans of. The list included cute coats for kids from J. Crew, a slipcover from Delia’s and a tweed dress from Banana Republic. Also fit for cold weather, NBC10 points the way to boots for chillier temperatures.

We’ve taken a look at the NBC10 App and it’s colorful, and chock full of lifestyle and entertainment news. Definitely worth the download, especially since it’s free.

Scheduled for the same day as game 7  (if we need it) in the World Series is an event at Lord and Taylor in NYC called Love at First Sight. The event will feature up and coming designers from Parsons The New School for Design.

The game is scheduled for 7:57pm, and this event is running from 6-9pm, but it would be possible to take a peek at Lord and Taylor and then head over to Grand Central Station – which is super close to Lord and Taylor – jump on the 6 train, arriving at Yankee Stadium in time for the game. Sometimes we spread ourselves thin over here at Philly Weekly, but it keeps things interesting.

Worldwide Fashion with a dash of hocus-pocus

Women’s Wear Daily has pictures from fashion shows all around the world, while Chic.tv has fashion shows and interviews with fashion experts, including this one about shoe designer Joy Chen.

NBC10’s Lilliana Vazquez fills us in on what to do in case of an ‘oops’ moment, what dresses cover the most occasions – a classic from Diane Von Furstenberg, of course, and more stockings!  These stockings don’t look too professional to us, but could definitely work for after five.

Philly.com’s SnapGlow.TV has up pictures from Philadelphia’s Fashion week that focus on a Russian designer, while Clutch has Halloween makeup ideas.
