What To Do This Weekend

//Trickgo Opening Hmmm… There’s some new art and retail on Antique Row! Dig the release:
Come out for an opening installation including two new artist series shirts from LA Artist 2 Cents. 30 shirts (15 of each design) will be individually numbered, sold with an original silk screen print of the shirt artwork, include a USB drive of animations from the artist, and sold in a custom limited edition box set.
As if that weren’t good enough we will also be releasing 6 brand new shirts as well as only the finest Gingko Press art books, Japanese POSCA paint markers, Field Notes notebooks and other delicious goodies. Did we mention a ton of local artist prints for sale?
I also heard that the Buttercream Philadelphia truck will be at the opening. I had the pleasure of trying a few of the cupcakes at an event last week and it was awesome. The first 50 people to present a receipt from a TrickGo purchase get a free cupcake. Sweet.

Have you seen the work of Kurt Halsey Frederiksen? It’s pretty awesome. Art Star Philly would seem to think so too, considering they’re showing this Detroit-based artist’s work on Saturday. Details in the above link!

//Clark Park Festival Clark Park is one of my favs in Philly. This Saturday come out to the market and music festival! Line up includes nine local bands and hopefully a lot of sunshine. Details here!

//Philadelphia Insight Scattered from your week? Kick it with the dharma punx in center city on Sunday evening. They practice a style of meditation known as Vipassana (Insight Meditation) and each meeting begins with a meditation, followed by a dharma talk and discussion.

Try something new in this fine city! More info here. 7:00pm– 8:30pm at Dyhana Yoga: 1611 Walnut St., 4th floor.
