Is Expensive Running Gear Really Necessary?

A bunch of us at Philly Weekly have been running. For our lives. Not really. We’ve been preparing for 5k’s and things like that. Occasionally, we think that picking up fancy schmancy exercise gear will make us faster, better, stronger. But as an avid runner and writer from Glamour.com tells us, that’s just not how things work.

Also on their site, Glamour tells us that they will be conducting an interview with the costume designer from Gossip Girl, Eric Daman!  If he’s anything like the show’s hair stylist, it means that he’s SO NICE and you should submit questions!

Glamour has also been on the lookout for wearable trends from Fashion Week. We’re not so sure about the feather skirt, but some of the stuff is pretty cute. NBC10 went to the other extreme and found clothes from Fashion Week and beyond that seem more Lady Gaga-esque than Practical.

W Magazine did a shoot featuring ‘traditional English tweed’ which is hilarious since the shoot looks like it took place in Central Park, NYC and everyone is half dressed. It doesn’t look like these models are wearing enough clothing to be called traditional, but it’s entertaining anyway.
