The event will also highlight the spring lines of local designers, including Smak Parlour and Vagabond Boutique, with a fashion show beginning at 9:30pm. Pabst Blue Ribbon Crafting Challenge

Sat., Feb. 21, 3-10pm. $6. 941 Theater, 941 Front St. 215.235.1385. www.myspace.com/randomsquirrellab

Thanks to its inexplicable hipster street cred, PBR’s the brew of choice for the downwardly mobile. But if we’re being honest, don’t we all agree it tastes like carbonated urine? All those red, white and blue cans should be put to better use. Thanks to the Philadelphia Independent Craft Market, now they will be. This weekend’s Pabst Blue Ribbon Crafting Challenge will feature vendors’ greatest PBR-inspired creations. Six bucks gets you admission and all the beer you can stomach. The event will be infused with tunes by assorted local bands, including the awesomely named Kill You in the Face. Nibble on vegan goodies courtesy of South Philly’s traveling cook Rachel Klein. Stick around till 10 p.m. to see which vendor takes home the top prize or stop by to toss a few back before heading out for the evening.
