Three In One

Know a guy in your life that needs one coat that acts like three? Express has one that doesn’t look like he should be out hiking or skiing somewhere. We’re fans.
Also at Express are some great patterned tights. Perfect for days when the wind whips around and creeps under your coat. The Frisky has a list of tights that have caught their eye as well.
Apparently Heidi Klum does Halloween big, and she’s giving away tickets to her massive Halloween Party. Just Jared has the details.
Cosmo’s got some tips on how to update your wardrobe, as well as how to not mess up an interview by doing something silly. At a time like this when things are opening up a bit, both sets of tips are worth a glance.
Lastly, we know she likes to start trouble, but look how cute Kristin Cavallari looks in InStyle’s look of the day.
This Will Not Get You Laid: Costume Edition.

THIS WILL NOT GET YOU LAID.
The Frisky isn’t usually one for fashion front page posts, but I feel they made some important points about Halloween for our male readers. I mean, we have a little more faith in those dudes if they’re reading PWstyle (high five!), and pretty high hopes that they have creative Halloween costumes in the works…
….but, just in case there was a temporary lapse of judgment that was induced by a) male bonding b) alcohol c) costume store hysteria d) all of the above, let’s have a refresher.
Ready, boys? Here is the link to The Frisky’s post, “21 Costumes that will not get you laid.” Read and absorb!
The Wrinkles Just Slip Off
If you love to shop and want to receive daily e-mails about sales from top designers, or hate stores and never want to step foot in one again, Current TV Tech reporter Sarah Lane has some suggestions.
The Ground Report discusses why it might be good to have oily skin after all. This article reminded me of my grandmother, who says that she doesn’t have wrinkles because her skin is so oily, and the wrinkles just slipped off.
There’s a blog that illustrates the New York edition of ‘missed connections’ as featured on Craig’s List. It’s pretty interesting. The New York Times is a fan too.
The Frisky highlights celebs with tattoos, Glamour helps a girl pick out a handbag that costs a small fortune, the New York Times gives a review of Milan’s fashion week, which isn’t as flashy as it once was, and NBC10 asks whether backless dresses are trashy or not.
Fab Friday
The Frisky is on the lookout so you don’t go to work with a boring look. Patterned tights, as well as interesting flats, heels and belts are amongst the suggestions to mix up what you wear for your 9-5. The Brits do tights right, and Topshop has some cute ones.
Clutch.com has pictures up of Jimmy Choo’s future at H&M, while other pictures, she’s working on getting more comfortable.
A pretty big website, backed by Hearst Digital Media was launched yesterday in Beta form. Accoring to one founding editor Nicole Stagg the site RealBeauty.com can be described as follows:
“The site will be a mixture of beauty-related content from Hearst properties like Cosmopolitan, Bazaar and Marie Claire and other sources, including non-Hearst magazines and books that concentrate on specific areas of expertise. “To expand our ethnic beauty coverage, we have formed content partnerships with Hype Hair and Latina magazines, and will pursue other similar partnerships to make sure we can offer full-service beauty content,”
The website seems like one stop shopping for style, hair, makeup, skincare, and fitness questions. Nice.
Terrific Tuesday
We heard that a certain famous Victoria’s Secret model straightens her hair with embalming fluid. Sorry, we’re still absorbing this information. Apparently it’s popular in Brazil. Hearing things like this only make us want to see Chris Rock’s Good Hair even more.
On an unrelated note, it looks The Frisky found one of like Marc Jacobs’ has creations – a bracelet with animals charms, that DOESN’T cost an arm and a leg. Nice. NBC10’s Lilliana Vazquez highlight cute shoes from different price ranges.
Self.com lets you guess what the beauty product does as well as highlights the best trends in color for the fall – that’s nail polish, eye shadows and neon headbands. All this while Teen Vouge teaches you how to create looks featured on the website yourself.
Martes. Tuesday. Mardi. Dienstag.
I really like most of the posts that The Frisky sent in it’s newsletter yesterday, except for this one. It’s about dorm room cooking, and being able to ultilize your coffee pot to cook chicken? Gross. At Least whoever wrote about this nastiness agrees with me.
The posts that I heart from The Frisky are as follows…How to dress like Brad Goreski from The Rachel Zoe Project. I just wish they did a post on Taylor Jacobson and how she dresses. I guess it’s pretty easy to figure out – skinny jeans, flannel shirts lots of hair bleach, black nail polish and ray bans, but I’d like a post anyway.
Another post from The Frisky spreads the word that Jessica Simpson is planning on releasing a line of bras that cater to large breasted women. I’m all for cute bras in big sizes, but it’s just funny that Jessica ultimately designs for herself. Most of her shoes have major heels on them, because she’s a shawty.
Yet another post from The Frisky clues you in as far as postage stamps in France. They smell like chocolate! Mmm. There’s also another post on Shower Curtains. One even includes Horror Movie Bloody hands. Charming.
Every season, J. Crew’s creative director Jenna always picks out her faves that J. Crew carries. I tend to agree with Jenna - she picks out nice things. First there are these cute t-strap heels as well as this gorgeous ring.
Lastly, I have developed a recent love for Bloomingdales. I’ve always been smitten with the high end anchor store, but recently they’ve got me head over heels. Their customer service is excellent. They called my mom the other day to make sure that she liked the makeup that she purchased. This is after she recieved a hand written thank you from a manager, and I returned shoes that were all kinds of messed up. I might not be able to pick up this season’s Chanel bag, but I’m definatey stopping by for my more practical needs.
