What To Do This Weekend: Delicious Boutique and Art Star

This weekend is jam-packed with stylish stuff to do. Here’s a rundown of where we’ll be spending our paychecks.

Friday
Delicious Boutique and Corseterie’s Three-Year Anniversary Party
8-11pm. 1040 N. American St. $20.
Why it rocks:
In addition to celebrating three years of hot corsets and funky accessories (My love for their holsters is overwhelming), this party is also a benefit for the men and women of Engine 29/Rescue 1/Medic 15. The event will raise money for the Hero Thrill Show Inc, which provides financial assistance for education to the children of Firefighters and Police Officers who lost their lives serving the city of Philadelphia. Plus: Discounted shopping, complimentary drinks, a fashion show and rotating DJs.

Saturday
The Giant Dwarf Make + Take Trunk Show
11am-8pm. Art Star Gallery, 623 N. Second St. Free.
Why it rocks: Make your own adorable winter hat. Come on! That’s awesome! And crafty! Also: Discounted shopping around the store and yummy snacks from Swallow Bistro.

What To Do Tonight: Top Chef

Tonight marks the start of Top Chef season five. While this year’s judging panel will lack the lovable and charming Ted Allen, the promise of Stephen Starr (Restaurant Wars + Stephen Starr = total fangasm) will ease our food porn pain. Tune in to Bravo at 10 p.m.

What To Do Tonight: Oh Yes, It’s Ladies’ Night

Every Thursday is Ladies’ Night at the lovely Sazz Vintage in Old City (38 N. Third St. 215. 923.7299). While the store typically carries only menswear—specifically men’s vintage from rockabilly to disco—on Thursday evenings from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., owner Amanda Saslow rolls out racks of dresses, blouses, jeans and even shoes (like these way too hot for teacher burgandy and white saddles).
