Vivid dream: NAMI wins award

Last night I dreamt that my mother left a note on my pillow that said “BIG NEWS!” Turned out, the government was giving a major award to NAMI. The award was so huge, and the competition so fierce, that NAMI’s win was considered an indicator of a cultural shift in priorities. Clearly, the government realized that mental illness was a catastrophic problem that affected all levels of society.

The award was the biggest mental health story in the history of mental suffering. And I couldn’t log on to blog about it. By 1 p.m., I still hadn’t weighed in, and I felt like I lost my entire blog audience. I was sure people were saying, “I thought this blog was about mental health. But she doesn’t have anything to say about the award?” I felt like a complete failure.

Blogxiety is a terrible thing.

I know it was a dream but on what basis did NAMI win this award? Inquiring minds want to know.
