Sometimes when I miss my dead cat, I watch videos of cats that look and act and sound like him (like this one) and get sad.

Liz Spikol was born in Philadelphia sometime in the 20th century. Man, is this a perfect addition to your blog: siamese cats are INSANE! In addition to the somewhat ‘manic’ behavior of this feline, I’m reminded of the time I found a siamese male that had been reported lost by its owner (I was about 13): a large, darker male. He had a leash when I found him, and he politely complied as I walked him home to call his owner. My father came out of the house to hold the leash: no one touched the cat. At that moment, he leapt straight into the air, and with a roundhouse swipe (Pete Townsend-style), slashed my dad behind the ear, and took off like a ‘bat outta hell’; I never had anything to do with any Siamese after that. Anyone else experience such feline insanity?
About a week ago I lost to cancer a good ole striped cat (yeah…I know they’re called classic or mackerel tabbies) named…are you ready?…Tigger. It actually cheers me to see other cats doing silly stuff. Tig was a talker and loved to be spinned around on the floor. Not really insane I guess. My still living Siamese, Jasper, is nothing like the cat in the video nor is he nuts like BJK’s foundling. Jasper, now 6, is huge, about the size of a small beagle. I’m told he is a “Snowshoe Siamese,” which I understand to mean because he has white feet he has showshoes. Other than the inclination to comment on any topic, Big “J” is a rather mild Siamese. He retired from active life at age 2 and spends his pension years birdwatching and snoozing on an old recliner in the garage. “J” and I have entirely too much in common. He even throws up his medicine.

Contrary to what Sarah said, these two Siamese are the most loving, affectionate, and vocal cats we’ve ever had the pleasure to have in our lives. Sure, like all cats, they get rialed-up in the evening and go ripping around the house at 80MPH – that makes some of the best footage !
Again, glad you enjoyed the video and you’d enjoy the others as well – especially “Woo Hoo”.
