Vivid dream: Teddy bear car thief

Maybe it’s because I’m a little nervous these days, but my vivid dreams have gotten even more vivid and bizarre than ever. Two nights ago a sorority girl in a bear suit stole my car and drove away while she was clinging to a plush red pillow shaped like a heart. Last night a college freshman who was apprehensive about starting school broke into my home and stole things until I confronted him with a gun that spit tear gas. After we talked it out, I became his advocate, helping him through school. I introduced him as “my former burgler.” And sometimes he wore a gray ponytail wig.

Do you think this is Effexor causing the vivid dreams? It seems when I have no SSRI in the mix, my dreams are relatively normal. As soon as I start taking an SSRI, I, too, can have dreams on the order of sorority girls dressed in bear suits and other vivid things. Mine are sometimes so closely looped in “reality” that when I wake up in the middle of them it takes me a while to figure out whether it was a dream or something that really happened. Just wondered what your thoughts on where the “vividness” comes from and whether you can trace it to any particular meds.
I think I saw something like this on an episode of “The Simpsons.”
maybe..
Sorority sisters represent multiple images of the same indiviual. The one who bared her heart is leaving.
I read this page often. Thanks for your work.
