Best headline. Questionable follow-up.

The headline of an advice column on Blogcritics.org is “Bipolar Booty Call?” Don’t you love that?
The person writes in that she’s in love with a bipolar guy whose behavior is erratic at best. He calls, then he doesn’t call, then he shaves his … private parts. It’s a mess! The woman doesn’t know what to do. She doesn’t know if he loves her.
I guess there’s no good way to handle this question. If the advice columnists, Dan and Jennifer, were to say, “The behavior sounds typical of a person with bipolar disorder,” we’d all be up in arms. They try this instead:
Sorry to say, but sounds to me like you’re the proverbial “Booty Call.” Don’t let him use his Bipolar disorder as an excuse to take advantage of you. I know nothing about this medical condition and do not know if it could cause this type of behavior. Some resources you may find helpful would be Psychology Info and Biploar World. Treating your girlfriend like a “booty call” is not on the list of normally displayed symptoms.
Can we do better? I think we can! Send your own advice to this poor woman to lspikol@philadelphiaweekly.com.
