Vivid Dream: Playing Favorites

I had a vivid dream last night in which I was at an event where everyone was playing the game “Who’s Your Favorite President?” Obviously, this isn’t a game in real life, because it would be crushingly boring. But in the dream, I was extremely worried I’d give the wrong answer. When my turn came to speak up, I leaned away from the mike that had been provided, and muttered: “FDR,” kind of hoping it might be mistaken for “JFK” in case it was a stupid answer. There was a nervous silence, and then, finally, people erupted into applause. “Good answer!” they said, as though we were all on Family Feud. And I thought: “I’m such a fraud. What the hell do I know about FDR?” End of dream.

The Good Reverend Says:

Maybe they really did think you said JFK.
