Ancora is a horrible, horrible place! I spent four months there as a patient a few years ago. I shouldn't have been there in the first place, but because I had no insurance, that's where they stuck me. The living conditions are horrid, the treatment and care of the patients is lacking, the safety standards are nonexistent (they let rapists and murderers walk the grounds of the hospital unsupervised)...I could go on and on. Deffinetly not a place anyone should be, let alone those who can't take care of themselves and speak up for themselves due to mental illness. I was there four years ago. It was bad then, and it sounds like it's just getting worse. Those people need help!
