I think the shelter should contact Richard Simmons. Maybe he could adopt the cat for his up and coming video for obese pets.

Sorry for posting again Liz.

It's just breaking here, but apparently first of all the cat is a male, not a female, and second adn more important, his previous owner was a Senior citizen who lost her house due to foreclosure and could not care for the cat anymore.

This whole thing about people dropping off pets at shelters because they can no longer afford them is sad. I found out on Tuesday night's BP support meeting that one of the local shelters here put down 60 dogs and cats, puppies and kittens because people can no longer afford them. the shelter in question was a no kill.

Thanks Liz for the cute fix.

Princess Chunk will be on GMA today and Regis and Kelly as well.

According to today's Post, over 800 people want to adopt her.

I would too, but I can barely lift my 10 lb cata, what would I do with a kitty 4x that amount?

I agree with the previous poster. When my girl put on a pound and ballooned up to 11 lbs, the vet told me she had to loose weight. I started playing with her more, and the weight came off. It's a daily thing now, playing with her and she is sleek and beautiful.

But then, I am slightly prejudiced.

Let's be generous here after all she may well have a no fault biologically based disorder, "Princess Chunk's condition could be a combination of bad genetics and way too much Meow Mix." That said, which psychotropic would be best for her? After all, we humans have found that they work for all of us all the time, address every need and correct every ill .... not.
