I fear good news at our nation's psychiatric hospitals is merely the absence of more bad news. And here it is just a return to the status quo.

New Jersey's legislature set forth its intentions at N.J.S.A 30:4-27.1.c : It is the policy of this State that persons in the public mental health system receive inpatient treatment and rehabilitation services in accordance with the highest professional standards and which will enable those hospitalized persons to return to their community as soon as it is clinically appropriate. Nice words, hopeful words but in the final analysis just words until New Jersey's politicians evidence the same concern this misbegotten appointment engendered.
