Granted, Lilly does some despicable things (almost all companies do). However, I was at the end of my rope. After 15 years of trying different meds and therapy, the ONLY thing that worked is the big bad Zyprexa. Yes, I have to be careful about diabetes and the whole metabolic syndrome, but the madness has stopped. A big price to pay? Maybe. I will thank Lilly for bringing Zyprexa to market. But I don't have to be so thankful to forgive their bad marketing.

Liz,

I remember being at the end of my proverbial rope a few years back when nothing - I mean absolutely nothing - would vitiate my extreme anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts.

My psych at the time really tried to push Zyprexa down my throat (figuratively speaking) and like a fool I accepted her advice.

After a few weeks of feeling only fractionally better, I realized that I must be insane to continue on this drug. I mean is it worth "curing" my anxiety et al for Diabetes? It's just swapping one bad thing for another.

So my shrink weaned me off of it and increased the Effexor to 450mg and I felt better.

Lilly is a despicable company.
