“Autism Is on the Rise!”

Oct 15 2008 | Comments 5

John McCain just used autism as a talking point during the presidential debate. He had so little to say about Sarah Palin, he actually used autism as a way to promote her readiness. Because, you know, she cares about autism. Horse hockey!

I think Obama’s response was excellent: Across-the-board spending cuts will compromise our efforts to address healthcare problems like autism.

Joe Says:

I think that he talked about Autism and Sarah Palin because he knows that Palin’s son has “something” and Autism is a big thing. Nevermind the fact that Palin’s child has Down Syndrome.

I liked his first slip about her building a pipeline to send natural gas to “the United States, er, Lower 48″. Freudian.

He spent so much more time on Biden’s qualifications than he did on his running mate’s.

Bob what’s-his-name (moderator) seemed disgusted several times, shutting McCain up with a “let’s move on”.

And what WAS that thing in McCain’s cheek? Chaw? Or something more insidious?

Gulley Jimson Says:

McCain has had surgery for numerous cancers and what you saw was the result of an operation.

The moderator was Bob Schieffer.

The McPalin mob scares me.

Gulley – I was too apathetic to bother looking up Bob’s surname; the debate was debilitating and I couldn’t be bothered to check the name of a highly-regarded journalist before posting.

The anxiously-awaited (you’ll have seen it already; I’m in California) Letterman on Thursday night should be delicious.

And regarding the facial deformation, I was pointing it out to show that something is seriously wrong with the man’s health. With a waxy skin tone and a large region of scarring on the cheek, something’s not right. The scarring is simply a symptom of something organically wrong with the Republican Party’s offering to the American electorate.
