I’m English, with an Irish father and Scottish mother. The word “cunt” is tossed around like “shit” in Britain.

If you read books of older, respected writers, they’ll toss out “cunt” as an everyday expression. Instead of, “This guy that I knew….” they would write, “This old cunt….”

Irvine Welsh tosses it around like a bag of rocks.

I will look into the old-time writer thing. I recall it was a book sent by my parents, by a man who frequented London clubs. Cunt was synonymous with bloke.

But back to the writer. Mr. Costin clearly has some personal issues to work through.

It would seem he feels challenged by strong women, is tormented by the fact that people other than he are succeeding and is lacking in moral, physical and spiritual backbone.

Where I come from, he’s a wanker, at best.
